Different flexibility to match various initial root canal morphology
3. Triangular Cross Section
Efficient shaping and more space for debris removal
5. Two options for different needs
Gold DT Files offer better cutting efficiency, Blue DT Files provide superior flexibility. Both of them sets .04 and .06 tapers for clinical choice.
1. Select the appropriate initial tip file (10# or 15# stainless steel hand K-file) based on the root canal size. Insert the file into the root canal without reaching the apex if the canal length is uncertain; the insertion length should be 2-3mm shorter than the apex as seen on the X-ray.
If there is no resistance, increase the file size by one, commonly using sizes below 25 red. Avoid skipping sizes. (Gently cleaning the canal walls and irrigating with 0.5% NaClO to remove debris.)
